Swimming with the fishes

This morning before breakfast I spent some quality time swimming with some sea turtles.

For context, I am in Hawaii for a conference and vacation. Yesterday I spent about 90 minutes snorkeling in a lagoon on the resort property, and saw many species of fish, eels, and other sundry aquatic life, but the turtles eluded me. Today’s session starts at 10:30, so I had time this  morning to gt in a short session before breakfast.

The property here on the Big Island is beautiful, but like any resort, it is best to go off campus for any purchasing.  yesterday after my swim, I walked a mile to the nearby shopping plaza for lunch (poke) and to buy sunscreen and water. At the resort, a spray can of sunscreen was $30, at the store $10.

Of course I miss my companion Isabella. She is being boarded at the location where her vet is, and I am certain that she is in good hands. Still, it is odd sleeping without the presence resting against me.

Cheers
