Mann Tracht, Un Gott Lacht

So no sooner than I post about my plans, they change. On Wednesday I reported for treatment and upon looking at the site of my port, the Nurse Practitioner declared that it could not be used. The site had become compromised and the port was actually working its way out of me. The set up an appointment for me with the folks at the Encinitas Scripps Memorial hospital to have it evaluated.

On Thursday I reported to Scripps and it was pretty clear that the port was coming out. A few hours later, I was discharged now absent my accessory and feeling much more comfortable.

I don’t have any idea what the plan is next, but will meet with my Oncologist on Tuesday to discuss this event. I still need to have a PET scan to determine what the state of the cancer is, but for now I am feeling fine and am happy to have that chunk of metal out of me.

Cheers
