So Friday I got the results of my CT scan and it shows definite improvement. The progress appears to be on track for the plan we are following. My Magnesium was low on Wednesday, so when I went in to turn in the pump, they gave me a bag of electrolytes with Mg to top me off. They also took blood to run the CBC (Complete Blood Count) and my ANC count was back in the normal range.
I have blood work scheduled for next Wed. to make sure that things are good, and to head off any issues if something is out of spec.
The only bad news is that my taste buds are once again gone, so food again tastes like Meh. That an the rash is still as pervasive as ever makes my day to day a bit less pleasant, but in the large scheme of things, if going beyond the remaining 3 treatments makes things better, I am willing to continue dealing with the side effects.
I have an appointment with my Surgeon on June 21, so we will see there what things look like. There was a reduction where the cancer had spread through the intestinal wall and into the Duodenum, so that makes me hopeful that the extent of the surgery may be less than was expected.
Cheers
