Friday – Pump turn in day

So Friday went pretty well. I worked in the morning until I needed to stop to go turn in the pump.  The 5-FU that the pump delivers for 46 hours still kicks my butt a little bit each time. This time I had a few bouts of the hiccups. It turns out though that nothing cures the hiccups like a little focused breathing and a purring cat on your chest.

My hands continue to be a little swollen and the cold sensitivity although less is still present.

As I write this on Saturday, I just finished a short workout of 17 minutes on the bike, which did see my heart rate rise, but otherwise I feel good.

The compression stockings came on Friday and I wore one of them on the left leg most of the afternoon and evening until bed. I can’t say that it did anything, but it certainly didn’t hurt anything either.  Hydration seems to be doing well.  I drink mainly a very diluted fruit juice during the day and occasionally just water with a powered electrolyte  mixed in. I bought a new powder on Amazon and it oddly tastes like the taste sensation that I get when the push a saline syringe into my IV. That I find very odd since that taste sensation is a false taste generated in my brain in response to the chemical introduced into my blood.
