A much needed weekend

I pushed my luck a bit on the barrier and it was a mistake.  It was not a horrible catastrophe, but it was a bit of a mess.  Last night would have been the 3 day point, but I thought I could make it til morning.  I was wrong, and woke up about 6 AM to a now too familiar feeling.  Still, it could have been worse.  Since it had not gone on for long, there was not observable skin damage, so I calmly removed the old barrier, use my new cleaning spray to address the mess, and took a shower while the stoma was inactive.  After the shower and some extra time to get dry, I applied some of the powder to the skin that showed some aggravation and a new barrier.  Hoping to see 3 days with this one.

This afternoon I went furniture shopping.  My plan was to pick up a Eurolounger or Klik Klak as they call them at Jerome’s Furniture.  This is for the office to serve as both a couch and a guest bed.  While I was there, I took a look at the beds and ended up buying a new bed (adjustable with a nice mattress) as well.  All of this should be delivered tomorrow, at which point I can hopefully stop spending money for awhile.

Still cold today, so Isabella and I have spent much of the day in either the office or bedroom with the small space heater following us. I look forward to when our temperatures return to San Diego normal.

Due to the cold temperatures, I skipped the spinning today, the garage was just too cold.  No pictures of the home gym then unless it warms up tomorrow.
